Volt is immediately hiring for Shipping and Receiving Associates in
Memphis, Tennessee.
As a Shipping & Receiving Associate you will:
Under direction of the immediate supervisor, perform duties related
to receiving and shipping materials, by hand and using a Pallet
Jack, and clamp truck.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reads picking tickets and other shipping documents to determine
items needed to fulfill customer requirements.
Pulls and prepares orders for shipment by verifying product name,
warehouse lot number, manufacturers lot number, weight, and package
codes on labels versus the information listed on the picking ticket
and bill of lading.
Inspect packages for damages prior to shipment.
Loads trucks following the loading guidelines.
Assists with the material movement and completes the appropriate
forms to record new locations.
Unloads deliveries by hand.
Verify accuracy of inbounds by comparing vendor's bill of lading
and other documentation with the material that is delivered.
Generates the receiving documentation and labels for Inbound
material when needed.
Must be able to lift 55 lbs. repeatedly as part of the job
function.
All other duties assigned.
This is a full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
1 year or more related experience and/or training; or comparable
combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and understand documents such as pick tickets,
bills of lading, safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to operate RF scanner and Pallet Jack
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach
with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-55 lbs.
Pay Rate: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
