Merchant Payments Transactions Processing Side.
Job Description:
Solutions Architect
We provide Global Corporate Investment Banking and Global
Transaction Services with direction on technology strategy and
solutions in order to align with the business strategy. We manage
architecture-related risks along with driving adherence to
published standards, principles and technology blueprints. We have
an exciting Solutions Architect opportunity for an experienced
technologist supporting Payments, Accounting Services, Liquidity
Management, Receivables, Trade Supply Chain Finance and Commercial
Card domains. The team have a global presence in the US, EMEA and
APAC. You will have the opportunity to work on an exciting,
challenging and varied book of work.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution
architecture which aligns with the business strategy, enterprise
architecture strategy, technology and platform choices.
Describes the solution intent and the associated operating
environment, determines the primary systems/subsystems and their
interfaces, defining non-functional requirements.
Ensures the solution is fit for purpose by working with
stakeholders, vendors/service providers. In parallel, evaluating
the impact of strategic design decisions.
Working with both business and technology to create the solution
intent and architectural vision.
Leads rapid shaping of a high level architecture with details
filled in with emerging business requirements; ensures architecture
is flexible and modular and designed to adapt easily.
Utilizes the defined best practices, templates and documentation to
create architectural designs.
Works with Product Manager/Owner to plan and prioritize technology
focused backlog items for the architecture runway.
Clarifies the architecture for the development teams to support
implementation, and provides solution options to resolve any
impediments.
Performs design reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements
for a solution are sufficiently met (e.g. security, performance,
maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability).
Individual contributor.
Domain knowledge of Payments, Accounting Services, Liquidity
Management, Receivables, Trade Supply Chain Finance, Commercial
Card domains (some or all preferred).
Driving a shared service strategy and performance culture.
Drives best practices approach to the continuous improvement of our
products, processes and tools.
Motivated self-starter.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Relevant IT experience (SDLC- Waterfall / Agile).
Strong Business Partner coordination.
Able to lead and contribute to automation, causal analysis and
development of shared/common solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (both to a technical
and non-technical audience).
Analytical Thinking, Attention to Detail, Problem Solving and
Innovative thinking.
Translating complex concepts into multiple architectural views
aimed at varying audiences.
Broad based IT knowledge and experience. (Financial Software,
Middleware, Databases).
Interpreting business needs and applying innovative technology
solutions.
10+ years experience working in Banking/Financial Services
Technology discipline.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/related field or related work
experience.
** Whats the ideal candidate for this position?
o 10-15 years of commercial banking technology experience with a
focus on payments and cash management
o Ability to operate at tactical and strategic solution design
level and identify the appropriate approach
o Senior technologist who can facilitate a solution agreement
between parties
**What top 3 skillsets does this person need to have?
o Commercial banking technology experience with a focus on payments
and cash management
o Communications skills to engage junior and senior technology and
business partners
o End-to-End solution design experience
**What are deal breaker items?
o No relevant financial services technology and business
skills/experiences
o Developer who has not designed solutions across multiple
applications

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Hourly Pay Rate Range*: Between $68.00/hr - $70.00/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
