International SOS is looking for a highly qualified Oncology Radiology Physician to support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide a full range of Oncology Radiology services. The Oncology Radiology Physician will provide evaluations, consultation, treatment planning, treatment management, monitoring, discharge and follow-up.

  • Current, full, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any US State or Territory
  • Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
  • Possess a Board Certification from the American Board of Radiology
  • Minimum five years of clinical experience excluding their residency.
  • Expertise and Knowledge in 3D - Conformal Radiation Therapy ("3D-CRT")
  • 3 years of experience with Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy ("IMRT")
  • 3 years of experience with Varian ARIA and Eclipse Treatment Planning System
  • 10 documented cases within the last 2 years in Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy ("SBRT")
  • 10 documented cases within the last 2 years in Stereotactic Radiosurgery ("SRS")
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)/Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.
  • Prior VA or military experience is preferred.
  • Must have MD/DO AND graduated radiation oncology residency Key Responsibilities
    • Services shall include evaluation and treatment of transported inpatient and outpatient clinical services for both palliative and curative cancer patients; follow-up, re-evaluation, and treatment visit; and perform prostate seed implants (if applicable) in the OR.
    • Conventional Radiation Treatment services including use of the following advanced modalities: IMRT, IGRT, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and Stereotactic Radiotherapy, shall be fully justified in accordance with the appropriateness criteria promulgated by the American College of Radiology, American Society for Radiation Oncology, and American Association for Physicist in Medicine.
    • Education and Supervision of HPTs: Per the guidelines dictated by the VA Office of Academic Affiliations (OAA) Directives and health professions education (HPE) accrediting agencies
    • Other duties as assigned Physical Requirements:
      • Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 15 lbs)
      • Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching Other Special Qualifications:

        • Must relocate to project site for the duration of the contract.
